Congratulations to the 2024 18U AA Tri-County Rangers who won their provincial tournament this past weekend in Dartmouth. The Rangers beat the Dartmouth Arrows 14-0 and the Pictou Highlanders 12-9 in the round robin. The Rangers fell 6-2 against East Hants on Saturday evening but rebounded and prevailed over the Dominion Hawks 6-3 Sunday afternoon to setup a rematch with the East Hants Nationals in the finals. Grant Thomander pitched a masterful final allowing only 2 runs over 6 innings and striking out 7. Jack Robichaud came in to shut the door in the 7th inning to lock up the hard-fought 4-2 win. Mikey Colosimo also collected 3 hits in the Tri-County victory including a double. The Rangers will travel to Corner Brook Newfoundland and Labrador at the end of August to participate in the Atlantic Championship.
